Building SEND Castles Ltd is a specialist Alternative Provision supporting children aged 4–14 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We provide a nurturing, therapeutic environment where children develop confidence, communication, emotional wellbeing and a love of learning.

Due to the continued growth of our provision, we are looking to appoint caring, enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Centre Support Assistants to join our growing team.

SEND Centre Support Assistant (Teaching Assistant)

 

Building SEND Castles Ltd – Ipswich, Suffolk

Salary: £12.90–£14.00 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)

 

Hours: Full-time or Part-time (term time only – 39 weeks per year)

 

Contract: Permanent

 

Start Date: September 2026

Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will support children on both a one-to-one basis and in small groups throughout the day.

You will help children access learning through play, outdoor education, sensory experiences and personalised interventions, whilst supporting their EHCP outcomes and emotional wellbeing.

The role includes supporting children with:

  • Autism

  • ADHD

  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs

  • SEMH

  • Learning Disabilities

  • Sensory Needs

Personal care will be required as part of this role, including supporting children with toileting, changing and promoting independence where appropriate.
